NTBTC 51st Open Show - 12.02.2011 Judge - Louis Kroucamp (Galactica kennels)
I think one of the biggest honors for a judge is to get an appointment to judge a Northern Transvaal Bull-Terrier Club Show. It was my turn and I want to thank each and every exhibitor that brought an entry, of 23 exhibitors in total to show under me.
My ring steward Mr. Billy Gloster who braved the rain with me in the ring, thanks Billy you did not disappoint me even with a wet result sheet.
Best of Breed, Best bitch on show: This award went to Bellators "Bells are Ringing "of Lubjan (Nicolette). What a beautiful, well constructed white Bitch. She stood out over the other bitch competitors. She stood out to me because of her well balanced construction and she was handled superbly. Her head is long, strong and well filled with small triangle eyes. The bone under the eyes contributed to her strong and smooth head. A very good topline, that slants into her long neck. Very good straight front, good bone with strong hind quarters, good turn off stifle with a perfect tail set that she uses in the ring. My opinion is that she did not move so well on the day because of the interference of the rain. Her teeth is a level bite for the critiques that's always got something to say about her teeth. She made an outstanding impression on me.
Reserve Best of Breed: The honors went to Lubjan fan the Flames of Franjan. She caught my eye when she entered the ring, this white bitch is still young, not yet fully matured, with her long head, good curved profile and adequate fill with straight top line was too enough for me. The Best of Breed Bitch is a more matured Bitch compared to the younger Bitch. Her eyes are well placed and she never stopped using her well placed ears. She has a perfect bite, nice strong teeth. Her elegant neck flows nicely into her back. Good chest, straight front and a good tuck up. She moves well, but a bit in moving towards me, but adequate. Drives well at the back. Strong hind quarters with enough turn on the stiffels. She was well showed and presented and never stopped showing, although it was raining. Also a worthy best mover.
Best Puppy : Franjan Zorro Eye Spy was a worthy winner over the bitch puppy. It is a big young male, well presented and showed for such a young dog. He has a long smooth head, enough fill for a young dog, good small black eyes, well placed as well as ears, right on top of his head. The puppy's got an elegant long neck that flows into its short straight top line. He has a perfect tail set, adequate hind quarters with a fare turned stifle. Mouth is still correct. Moved well in all directions for a youngster. Keep on showing him. He is a worthy contender.
Thank you for the opportunity to go over these three worthy winners.
